What wireless routers are good for connecting a Nintendo Wii to the internet?

Q. I have weak signals on my Nintendo wii when I try to connect to the internet so I can play Mario Kart Wii online against others. What are some good wireless routers an would it help me connect?

A. I have a wii and also have online features for it. The wireless rerouter I own is called NetGear, which was highly reccomended by my nerdy (but cute) comp friend.

What's the difference between the nintendo wii and the wii U?
Q. Ok I know that every gaming system has
A different feature on it. And their little bell
And whistle to coin a pharase. So MY question
Is what's the difference between the nintendo
Wii and the wii U? Whats the difference? Niki

A. It's just going to be the next generation of console hardware from Nintendo. The difference between the Gamecube and the Wii, or the N64 and the Gamecube. Just because the Wii and the Wii U share a similar name, doesn't mean they're like little versions, the Wii U is a huge update physically from Nintendo.

The Wii U will have better hardware, meaning it's games will look better graphically, it will no doubt have backwards compatibility with Wii games as well. It supports 1080p (about time Nintendo). Sadly from what I read on wikipedia.com the graphics is based on Ati's R700 class of graphics cards, which released around 2008 =[ whatever.

It also has a different controller, which I believe still supports gyro motion, but basically looks like a flat table with two circle pads and a large screen in the center. I believe some people have hypothesized that this would "remove" the need for a HUD in games, allowing the screen of your game to be completely empty of score, health bars, and options, and instead transferring all of that info to the controllers screen. I'm sure the controller has many other functions as well, and it is a touch screen (from what I've heard).

The Wii U is not out yet, though I've heard sometimes around April 2012 is the release date, but release dates are always flimsy.

So that's basically it, it's the next console to be the successor to the Wii.

Is there a way you can play a nintendo wii on a computer monitor?
Q. I have a nintendo wii but i dont have a television to play it on. Is there a way to connect the wii to play it through a computer monitor? I dont know a whole lot about computers so im not sure if theres any cord or device that allows you to connect the wiis audio/video adapters that will allow you to play through the computer monitor. any ideas?

A. Hiya Jason C,

Yes!!

You want a VGA box, specially made for this purpose.

Although you can play through a PC using a TV Tuner card, the quality is limited and the computer must be on all the time. Also, if you ever have a problem with Windows, you probably won't be able to play.

The VGA box solution is very flexible and offers multiple resolution options with a higher quality picture and you never have to swap the cables, just use a switch. You don't have to power up the PC and rely on Windows to play. If you ever have problems with Windows or device drivers, you will still be able to play your games.

Here is a link to a quality VGA box, also my best choice.

Also, some users on the Wii chat forum
http://www.wiichat.com/nintendo-wii-hardware/12752-ypbpr-rgbhv-vga-box.html
use the YPbPr to RGBHV VGA Box:

Finally, check out the outputs and cable compatibility for your Wii on page 8 Here:

GOOD LUCK!

ps. If your monitor and display adapter for the PC are DVI, you will have to use DVI to VGA adapters.
